Brico Group, a Spanish DIY trading cooperative, increased sales by 12.89 per cent last year. The plus came to 5.4 per cent in like-for-like terms. Growth of seven per cent is planned for the current year.Within the scope of its strategic plan for 2011-2014 the cooperative wants to reach a point where its members operate 90 per cent of their affiliated stores under the Bricogroup brand name. The next two reopenings following conversion to this concept are due at the end of March and early April in Vilatenim and Gijón. These outlets previously appeared under the banners of Fes Mes, which currently has eight stores, and Bricomarian with a total of four at present.
