International participation continues upward

The IPM, an international plant fair staged in Essen, Germany, maintained visitor figures at last year’s level. Between 24 and 27 January 2012 a total of 59 600 visitors (2011: 60 000) travelled to the event from more than 90 countries, 36 per cent of them from abroad. According to the fair organisers, that amounts to a ten per cent increase in the international contingent. The number of exhibitors also rose slightly to 1 517; they came from 44 different countries. The next IPM is scheduled for 22 to 25 January 2013.
