Bricoalliance gains Byggmax

Bricoalliance, a European purchasing group, gained the Swedish DIY group Byggmax as a new member at the beginning of the year. Byggmax has 86 stores in operation in Sweden, Norway and Finland. Having added Bauhof from Estonia, Metrik from Russia and Tekzen from Turkey, Bricoalliance now has nine members with operations in 13 countries. Together they achieve an annual turnover of € 1.824 bn and operate some 550 DIY stores with a combined sales area of 1.531 mio m². Having expanded the organisation’s purchasing volume, Bricoalliance is now aiming to purchase products for all members in common. This applies in particular to promotional goods and own-label ranges.
