Europe’s best garden centre

The Meier garden centre in Dürnten, Switzerland, has been selected as the winner of the gold award for the most innovative garden centre in Europe as part of the Graines d’Or competition. Silver and bronze went to Les Compagnons des Saisons garden centre in Wambrechies, France, and to Florina in As, Belgium. The jury chose the Intratuin Group of the Netherlands as the European brand of the year. The competition was initiated by Groupe J, a publishing group, together with Jardinerie, a specialist trade magazine. Truffaut won the category of garden centre brand of the year on the French national level. The prize in the country stores category went to Point Vert, while Leroy Merlin was picked as the best DIY store in the garden sector, and Auchan as the best food retailer offering a garden range.
