Rautakesko has opened its 14th Russian K-rauta store

Rautakesko, a Finnish DIY retailer belonging to the Kesko Group, has opened its first K-rauta store in Moscow. At the same time, this is the biggest of the company’s total of 14 stores of this type in Russia at present. It features a heated sales area of more than 11 000 m² situated on a plot of land nearly 16 000 m² in size. A workforce of more than 260 is employed at the Varshavskoe store in Moscow. Another K-rauta store is scheduled for launching in the Russian capital next spring (Moscow Leningradskoe). What is more, the Finnish company wants to open ten more stores by 2015 and achieve annual net sales of € 800 mio in Russia by the end of 2015. Apart from the new DIY store in Moscow there are ten K-rauta outlets in St Petersburg and one each in Jaroslavl, Kaluga and Tula.
