Founding of EDE International

Today, Friday 9 December 2011, sees the wholly owned EDE subsidiary company, EDE International AG, take up its business activities. The company, which is headquartered in Zurich, is taking on responsibility for all business outside Germany. To start with it will have a capital of two million CHF. “International expansion is a fundamental pillar of the EDE’s growth strategy for the next ten years,” says Peter Baur, previously director of EDE’s Europe division and now managing director of the new company. It is hoped to increase the international share of turnover gradually to the level of 25 per cent within the EDE group by the middle of the current decade. According to information from EDE, the turnover generated by the group’s international activities will this year amount to some € 600 mio.
