The British Kingfisher Group’s sales are 3.5 per cent up in the third quarter

The British Kingfisher group of companies ended the third quarter of its 2011/2012 financial year (to 29 October 2011) with sales of £ 2.814 bn, an increase of 3.5 per cent on the same period last year on a constant currency basis. The increase amounted to 1.3 per cent in like-for-like terms. Profit rose by 13.1 per cent at the same time. Sales on the domestic market saw growth of 1.2 per cent, but a decline of 0.7 per cent like-for-like. This compares with growth of 6.1 per cent in France (1.9 per cent like-for-like) to £ 1.191 bn. Kingfisher’s sales in its other international markets came to £ 559 mio, an increase of 8.1 per cent year-on-year (or 3.8 per cent like-for-like).
