Leroy Merlin expands in Spain

The DIY chain Leroy Merlin, part of the French Groupe Adeo, has opened a further store in the Spanish city of Toledo. It is the company’s 49th outlet in Spain and the first large-scale DIY store in the region, reports the industry publication Ferronoticias. The store has a retail area of over 8 000 m2, and € 20 mio was invested in its energy-saving design. The company is reported to be planning a further 17 stores in Spain. A new store is scheduled to open in Córdoba in March 2012.
