Hagebau increased its centrally invoiced sales in the first nine months of 2011 by 18.02 per cent compared with the same period last year to € 4.06 bn. Sales by Hagebau Germany, which also include revenues from Switzerland and Luxembourg as well as from the Austrian timber and retail trade, increased by 18.8 per cent to € 3.83 bn. In the retail sector with 290 Hagebau stores, 24 Werkmarkt stores, 31 other DIY stores and 50 Austrian stores, centrally invoiced sales surpassed the previous year’s figure by 7.7 per cent. The increase in the specialised trade was much greater at 25.9 per cent: central purchases of building materials were up 28.7 per cent, tiles up 11.5 per cent, and purchases by timber retailers grew by 15.2 per cent.
