Messe Essen (Germany) has announced record figures for the forthcoming 30th staging of the IPM, the International Plant Fair. It is expected that more than 1 500 exhibitors from 40 countries will be present at the event from 24 to 27 January 2012. There they will display their products and services on an exhibition space of 105 000 m² to some 60 000 visitors. The organisers are particularly keen to emphasize the internationality of the fair. The national participations from the Netherlands and Poland are both expanding, as is the Spanish group stand as well. New to the event is a group stand of companies from Thailand. Egon Galinnis, managing director of Messe Essen, sees one of the reasons for the popularity of the fair in the market environment. “We are a mirror image of the market,” he says, “And the market that appears there is smiling.”
