Market entry in Cyprus

Last Friday, 30 September 2011, saw the opening in Nicosia of the first Leroy Merlin store in Cyprus. The two-storey DIY store, which belongs to the French Group Adeo, has a sales area of 12 000 m². It features special opening hours starting at 7 a.m. for the trade customers it hopes to attract. Consumers can do their shopping from 8 a.m. from Monday to Saturday. As reported by Sigmalive, an online service, an opening ceremony was held the day before in the presence of the French ambassador Jean-Marc Rives and Archbishop Chrysostomos II.
