“From DIY to Home-Garden Improvement”

"From DIY to Home-Garden Improvement” is the motto of the 2nd European Home Improvement Forum. Organised by FEDIYMA and EDRA, manufacturers’ and retailers’ associations respectively, the event will be held at Disney’s Newport Bay Club Convention Center near Paris from 31 May to 1 June 2012 (as reported in DIYglobal). It is to be organised around four key themes: “Design – new trends in retailing and packaging”; “Garden – future trends for growth potential”; “Human Resources – how will it be possible to find and develop the right staff in future?”; “E-Commerce – is the home-garden improvement sector ripe for e-commerce?” Moreover, the new FEDIYMA International DIY Consumer Study 2012 with results from Austria, Italy, the Netherlands, Poland, Russia and Turkey will be launched at the congress. The organisers have announced that the presentation of the 2nd European DIY-Lifetime Award will be one of the highlights of the event.
