The DIY retailer intends to have 55 stores in operation in north-west Russia by the end of the year

Metrika, a Russian DIY chain, has become a member of the Bricoalliance international DIY purchasing group. The company, which belongs to the SBR Corporation, operates in the north-west of Russia and intends to increase its number of outlets to 55 by the end of the year. The stores are basically operated according to two formats: medium-sized DIY stores with a retail area of 1 200 m² to 3 500 m² and a product offer of 15 000 to 25 000 items, and large-format stores of some 12 000 m² (the biggest boasts 13 500 m²) and with up to 50 000 items in the product offer. Metrika hopes to gain better purchasing prices and an exchange of know-how with the other DIY retailers in the group from membership of Bricoalliance.
