IHA planning international events

Having decided to expand the services available to its members, the International Federation of Hardware & Housewares Associations (IHA) is planning several international events. The first is to be the China International Summit on Tools, scheduled to take place in Shanghai on 21 September 2011 during the China International Hardware Show and organised jointly with the China National Hardware Association (CNHA). The programme will include Bill Lee, president and CEO of the North American Retail Hardware Association (NRHA) and secretary-general of the IHA, speaking on the subject of the American market. The markets of Europe and China will also be featured. Another event being planned will be staged during the Cologne International Hardware Fair in March 2012. At present the IHA’s membership numbers 14 national hardware associations.
