Gains in both specialist and retail trade

Hagebau announces an outstanding first half from its point of view. To the end of June 2011 the Soltau-based cooperative organisation grew its centrally invoiced group sales by 20.3 per cent to € 2.61 bn by comparison with the same period last year. The centrally invoiced sales of Hagebau Germany, which also comprise the proceeds from Switzerland and Luxembourg, from the group’s Austrian timber and retail trade and from its distribution centres, rose by as much as 20.8 per cent to € 2.47 bn. At the end of June the cooperative had a membership of 299 (previous year: 298) partners. The number of operating units grew by 85 to a total of 1412, which breaks down into 1155 in Germany, 152 in Austria, 90 in Switzerland and 15 in Luxembourg.
