Praktiker boss resigns

Wolfgang Werner has resigned as managing director of the German Praktiker AG. However, the chairman of the supervisory board has asked him to continue to carry out his duties until a successor can be found. The Praktiker Group, which also includes the Max Bahr and Extra DIY sales channels, is placed third on the table ranking German DIY retailers by turnover. For years it has come in for criticism because of its discount campaigns.
