Sales growth overall

The Irish Grafton Group reports sales of some € 997 mio in the first six months, around 1.8 per cent more than the comparable period last year. In Britain, where the company operates in the builders’ merchant trade, like-for-like sales rose by 4.7 per cent. By contrast, sales of the builders’ merchant and DIY retail activities in Ireland showed a six per cent loss.
