The organisers are expecting the Taiwan Hardware Show, due to be held in Taipei from 20 – 22 October 2011, to be on a much larger scale. The Taiwan Hand Tool Manufacturers’ Association and trade fair company Kaigo are expecting more than 350 exhibitors; the 2010 event had already seen a 23 per cent increase in exhibitor numbers to 233 companies. When it comes to visitors Kaigo is reckoning with a figure of around 25 000; that too would be a decent increase, since last year’s event attracted 18 500 trade visitors to the Taiwanese capital, or 36 per cent more than the year before that. Another programme of incentives, including a subsidy of NTD 15 000 per fair visit, has been launched for 2011. Applications are being accepted now and the offer will continue until 12 August 2011.
