Search for new managing director

Jeremy Bird, managing director of Wickes, a UK DIY chain, has been promoted to chairman of parent company Travis Perkins’ retail division. The hunt is now on for his successor, both within the company and outside.Travis Perkins’ retail division consists of the Wickes chain with 200 stores in the United Kingdom, Tile Giant with 86 stores and Toolstation with 64 branches. Wickes just recently acquired 13 stores from the Focus chain, which has gone into administration.
