Canadian Tire’s retail sales rose in the first quarter compared with the previous year by 3.7 per cent to C $ 1.962 bn. However, the 487 outlets of Canadian Tire, the corporation’s main trading format, forfeited 0.6 per cent of sales altogether, and 1.4 per cent like-for-like. The 382 shops of the Mark’s clothing chain, which also belongs to the corporation, were able to increase their sales by 6.2 per cent.
