Bricorama, a French DIY retail group, was able to increase sales in the first quarter by 7.0 per cent on the same period last year to € 160.8 mio. Sales in France came to € 107.2 mio, or an 8.4 per cent rise. The increase in Belgium amounted to 1.21 per cent, and 4.9 per cent in the Netherlands. Altogether the group’s sales in the two Benelux states notched up an increase of 3.0 per cent to € 48.2 mio. The stores in Spain, which now total nine, grew their sales by 18.3 per cent, or 11 per cent like-for-like, to € 5.3 mio.
