Hagebau increases central sales

Hagebau, a German DIY retail and builders’ merchant cooperative, announced first-quarter sales, including its builders’ merchant activities in Austria, of € 1.14 bn. That is an increase of 26.8 per cent compared with the same period last year. Centrally invoiced sales of Hagebau Germany, which also include sales from Switzerland and Luxembourg, as well as the Austrian timber and retail trade, rose by as much as 27.2 per cent to € 1.09 bn, according to information from head office. Centrally invoiced sales in the retail sector (290 Hagebaumarkt stores, 24 Werkmarkt outlets, 33 other DIY stores and 49 Austrian stores) exceeded the previous year’s value by 16.3 per cent.
