Positive development

Koelnmesse has announced that the Spoga+Gafa multi-trade show from 4 to 6 September will have 1 700 exhibitors, or growth of 30 per cent compared to 2009. As revealed at yesterday’s press conference, the exhibition space has now been expanded by two halls (40 000 m²). A new feature will be the introduction of the Monday of the fair as Garden Centre Day, to be implemented by Koelnmesse in conjunction with the VDG (association of German garden centres). Metin Ergül, divisional director home, garden and leisure, sees this positive development as an endorsement of the return to the yearly staging cycle.
