Byggmax sees significant growth in the first quarter and plans up to 15 new stores

The Swedish DIY retailer Byggmax has announced a 13.9 per cent increase of year-on-year sales for the first quarter. During this period it opened three new stores, amounting to like-for-like growth of 4.4 per cent. Total sales came to SEK 369.4 mio. For the current quarter Byggmax is planning five new openings, with 12 to 15 scheduled for the year as a whole. Six of these will be in Sweden, three to five in Norway and three or four in Finland.
