1st Global Lifetime Award for Pat Farrah

Pat Farrah, one of the founders of Home Depot, is to be the recipient of the 1st Global Lifetime Award. EDRA, the European DIY retail association, will join Fediyma, a manufacturers’ association, to present the prize at the Global DIY Summit, which is also being held for the first time. The event will be staged on 8 and 9 June 2011 at “The Square”, a new conference centre in Brussels. Around 500 delegates from both industry and commerce are expected to attend. The list of speakers includes Régis Degelcke (Adeo, France), Ian Cheshire (Kingfisher, UK), George Adams (Maxeda, Netherlands) and Rinat Mukhametvaleev (Trest SCM/Stroyarsenal, Russia). Speakers coming from overseas are Greg Bridgeford (Lowe’s, USA), Robert Dutton (Rona, Canada), Sandro Solari (Sodimac, Chile), Michael Wedgewood (Bunnings, Australia) and Raj Kumar (Homecenter, India).
