93 per cent of battery-powered tools to be based on this technology by 2013

Sales of cordless lithium ion tools are continuing to grow in western Europe, whereas demand for nickel cadmium cordless appliances is diminishing, according to an assessment published by Black & Decker. Lithium ion cordless tools were reported to have a market share of 40 per cent in 2009. This is expected to rise to 93 per cent by 2013.
