International restructuring at Praktiker

The German Praktiker Group has restructured its foreign operation, combining the nine national companies that operated separately hitherto to form two sales regions. These will each be run by a three-man management team based in Budapest and Athens respectively. The second management level that existed previously, the country managers, has been eliminated (DIYglobal report). The International 1 region based in Athens covers Albania, Greece, Poland, Turkey and Ukraine, while Bulgaria, Luxembourg, Romania and Hungary come under the International 2 region, based in Budapest.
