Upheaval at Bricocenter in Italy

Marco Montemerlo, co-founder and managing director of the Italian chain Bricocenter, is leaving the company. However, a report in Bricomagazine, an Italian trade publication, reveals that he is remaining within Adeo, the French group that is the parent company of Bricocenter. Furthermore Montemerlo is expected to launch a new sales channel in Italy. However, this will not be a DIY retail format but one focused on the home. Pietro Migliori, who has been with the Adeo subsidiary Leroy Merlin for 17 years and currently holds the position of regional director, will take over as his successor at Bricocenter on 1 March 2011.
