Leroy Merlin opened a new store in Khimki, just north of Moscow, on 8 February 2011. It features an overall retail area of 10 200 m² and a product offer covering 37 000 articles. The newly launched store is open right around the clock seven days a week. In 2009, when Leroy Merlin Russia numbered just 14 stores, it was able to increase sales by 27.9 per cent to a total of RUB 27.5 bn.
