More than 30 years in the industry

After a relationship lasting more than 30 years, Bob Vereen has retired from the Worldwide DIY Council, an association of active American and Canadian exporters. He directed the association for nearly 20 years as its executive secretary, and his final role was as director of communications. Under Vereen’s leadership the association began to organise group pavilions for its members at trade fairs all over the world. Mr Vereen is regarded as a pillar of the American hardware and DIY industry. Even after his retirement from the WDIYC he intends to continue to write for international trade publications, including Dähne Verlag’s magazine DIY International with its online service www.DIYglobal.de.
