Homebase sales down

Latest results from the British DIY chain show sales 2.8 per cent down

In the 18 weeks from 29 August 2010 to 1 January 2011 the Homebase stores, which are operated by the British Home Retail Group, recorded sales of approx. £ 487 mio, or 2.8 per cent less than the same period one year previously. Like-for-like sales fell by 1.2 per cent, and sales area by 1.6 per cent. After four store closures the number of outlets now stands at 341.
