The Austrian DIY retailer Baumax has carried out an organisational reorientation of its procurement departments. The existing buying agents have been divided into two areas, central buying and category management. Category management has in turn been subdivided into three sections, technology, lhome and garden. Building/technology is being managed by Werner Moser, who was most recently head of international buying for the area of technology. Jörg Bierlein, who was involved in setting up Baumax in Romania and Turkey, is taking on the home section. Clemens Bauer, who previously worked for Henkel, Scotts Celaflor and 3M, is responsible for the garden section. Central buying remains under the direction of Josef Wagner.
