Belgian membership of EDRA

The Belgian DIY Association (BDA), which is one section of Comeos, the Belgian retail association, has become a member of EDRA, the European DIY Retail Association. The DIY and garden section includes companies such as Aveve, Brico, Hubo, Gamma and Mr. Bricolage. Its members represent more than 80 per cent of the Belgian DIY retail market. Régis Degelcke, president of EDRA, welcomes the membership of Comeos/BDA as “another step towards solidarity in pursuit of protecting the interests of the European home improvement retail industry in Brussels, as well as expanding the EDRA network”. The membership of EDRA now comprises six European DIY retail associations and 22 home centres as direct members. It represents 86 home companies altogether in Europe, and also includes six members of the Global Home Improvement Network (GHIN) operating in 45 countries around the globe.
