Presentation of DIY Lifetime Award

Hans-Rudolf Müller was presented with the DIY Lifetime Award during a festive ceremony on 30 November within the framework of the 11th International BHB DIY Home Centre Congress in Cologne. Mr Müller, 71, was for many years the head of Gardena, a German manufacturer of garden tools. He ended his expression of thanks for the award with an appeal to suppliers and retailers to develop joint strategies for dealing with the market and with customer relations. The award is sponsored by BHB, the German DIY Retailers’ Association, together with the manufacturers’ association Haus & Garten and Dähne Verlag, which publishes the two specialist magazines diy and DIY International.
