Cooperation between Dehner and Coop

Dehner, a German garden centre operator, and Coop Bau + Hobby, a Swiss DIY retailer, are entering into a cooperative agreement. As announced in a press release, the aim from the viewpoint of the Coop is to achieve significant improvements in the range of products available in the category of flowers and plants, as well as in terms of quality. Moreover, Dehner will provide the Coop with professional assistance in the procurement and sale of flowers and plants. The partners to the agreement are also planning a new garden centre concept, which is to be integrated into the Coop’s existing DIY stores. Two pilot stores, which are currently at the planning stage, will open in spring 2011.
