Sales growth for Home Depot

In the third quarter (ending 31 October 2010) of its current business year Home Depot recorded sales of US $ 16.598 bn. This means that the world’s biggest home improvement retailer grew sales by 1.4 per cent on the comparable period last year in both absolute and like-for-like terms. For the first nine months growth amounted to 2.4 per cent to USA $ 52.871 bn. At the end of the quarter the company had 2 244 stores in operation, 1 976 of them in the USA, 179 in Canada, 80 in Mexico and nine in China.
