The German voluntary group has seen growth on the trade side above all

Hagebau, a German builders’ merchant and DIY voluntary group, increased centrally invoiced sales in the first nine months of 2010 by 7.8 per cent on the comparable period last year to € 3.43 bn. Centrally invoiced sales in the retail division (288 Hagebaumarkt stores, 22 Werkmarkt outlets, 30 other DIY stores and 48 Austrian stores) recorded an increase of 0.3 per cent, or slightly above last year’s result. Hagebau Germany notched up an increase of 8.1 per cent to € 3.22 bn (including distribution centres, plus Switzerland and Luxembourg). Centrally invoiced sales in the builders’ merchant, timber and tiling specialist division rose by 12.5 per cent.
