Restructuring of responsibilities

From the beginning of November 2010 Dr Alexander Frech, 32, has taken over as country manager of Baumax in Austria.Dr Frech has been with Baumax for over three years, one and a half of which were spent as country manager in Romania. Previous to that he had gained international experience in the field of DIY retailing in several different countries. In his new function he will be responsible for the positioning and continuing development of the company within the domestic building and DIY market. Mag. Nicola Szekely, 34, will take over Alexander Frech’s managerial competencies in Romania in addition to his current job as country manager for Bulgaria. This means he will be responsible for the company’s development and expansion in both countries. Mr Szekely had already absolved a successful period as international technical purchasing director at Baumax prior to his new appointment.
