Sales down

Results from the British Home Retail Group for the first six months of 2010 (to 28 August) show sales were three per cent down against the same period last year. This breaks down into a decline of 0.8 per cent for Homebase and 6.5 per cent for Argos. Reported profit before tax fell from £ 116.8 mio to £ 103 mio.
