Bunnings nearly in double digits

The Australian company’s latest results show a 9.7 per cent increase

Bunnings, an Australian hardware company, recorded sales of Aus $ 6.4 bn from its DIY retail business in the 2009/2010 financial year (to 30 June 2010), which is 9.7 up on the previous year’s figure. The company’s trade sales recorded a 10.4 per cent increase. Over the course of the year Bunnings opened eleven stores in its warehouse format, two smaller stores and nine specialist trade outlets. At year’s end the company had 184 warehouse stores, 58 smaller-format stores and 29 trade outlets in operation in both Australia and New Zealand.
