Castorama now in Bashkortostan as well

Castorama, the French DIY retailer that is part of the British Kingfisher Group, has opened its 14th Russian DIY store at Ufa. Here in the Bashkiriyan capital the company will come across competitors such as Stroi Arsenal, Super Stroi and Starik Hottabych. Leroy Merlin, too, is planning to open a store in Ufa, a city with a population of over one million. The new Castorama store is situated on the outskirts of the city and has a retail area of 11 500 m². The investor, the Quinn Group of Ireland, is said to have put around two billion roubles into the venture.
