The tenth China International Hardware Show (CIHS) from 28 – 30 September 2010 attracted 35 000 visitors to Shanghai, or six per cent more than a year ago. The number of exhibitors also went up by 14 per cent, to a total of around 2 300. Approximately ten per cent of these came from outside China. Nineteen countries were represented altogether, occupying an exhibition space of about 100 000 m². In the words of Gerald Boese, managing director of Koelnmesse, co-organisers of the event, this shows that the CIHS has established itself “clearly as the second-largest hardware fair after the Cologne International Hardware Fair”.
