Plus in South Africa

Massbuild, the DIY division of Massmart, a South African retail group, increased its sales by 13.6 per cent in the recently completed financial year (to 27 June 2010). The plus came to 3.4 per cent in like-for-like terms. Following eight openings or acquisitions and three closures, the company currently has 76 stores in South Africa operating under the names of Builders Warehouse, Builders Express and Builders Trade Depot.
