Quarterly figures

The US chain Lowe’s has reported an increase in sales of 3.7 per cent to US$ 14.4 bn for the second quarter of 2010 as compared with US$ 13.8 bn for the same period last year. Net earnings for the period amounted to US$ 832 mio, equivalent to an increase of 9.6 per cent.
