Division remains in the red

In the first six months of 2010 like-for-like sales of the Irish CRH Group's European trading division were ten per cent below the same period last year. This compares with the year to date decline to the end of April, which was still at twelve per cent. The group has 241 stores in Europe through a variety of participatory arrangements.
