The UK DIY chain Homebase recorded sales of £ 459 mio in the first quarter of its financial year (28 February to 29 May 2010), which is 1.4 per cent down on the same period last year. The retailer's parent company Home Retail Group also announced a 1.4 per cent loss in like-for-like terms following two store closures.
