The Swedish DIY retailer Byggmax intends to open five more DIY stores this year. Seven outlets have already been launched since the beginning of the year. There are still plans for one new store in Sweden and three in Norway; yet another new opening is taking place today, 2 July, in Finland. Currently the company has 68 DIY stores in operation. A further 8 - 15 new openings are scheduled for 2011: from two to four in Sweden, three to five in Norway, and three to six in Finland. Founded in 1993, the company has doubled its total number of outlets since 2003. It is aiming for a network of 130 stores in Scandinavia.
