Two prime ministers plus ambassadors come to Minsk for the opening of Oma

The Byelorussian company Oma has opened its fifth store, which is claimed to be the first full-service DIY store in the capital of Minsk. The operator is part of the Lithuanian Senukai Group, which in turn is a subsidiary of Rautakesko, the DIY division of the Kesko group of companies.
Many VIPs attended the opening: Sergei Sidorski, prime minister of Belarus, and Andrius Kubilius, prime minister of Lithuania, with both countries? ambassadors; Matti Halmesmäki, president and ceo of Kesko; and Augustinas Rakauskas, the founder of Senukai.
The 8 500 m² store offers a range of products covering the categories of building, renovating and interior decoration. The Byelorussian market for this segment, which enjoys high rates of growth, is estimated at € 1.3 bn.
