The Swedish DIY retailer Clas Ohlson has completed its financial year (1 May 2009 to 30 April 2010) with a 13 per cent increase on a sales volume of SEK 5.556 bn. However, Q4 growth of two per cent to SEK 1.078 bn was lower than expected. Fewer new openings and poor seasonal demand in the spring are cited as reasons leading to this result. The company recorded an increase of three per cent in May.
