Sustainable building is one of the main themes of Saie, to be held in late October
Sustainability and energy efficiency will feature among the key themes of this year's Saie building fair in Bologna, Italy, from 27 - 30 October. The Saieenergia section of the fair will take up three exhibition halls - having only just filled one when it was first introduced in 2008.
Behind the change is the increased significance of this area in the building and construction industry. In recent times environment-friendly and energy-saving materials have become more important to Italian house-owners than the location and ambience of their property. Sustainable modernisation is regarded by 65 per cent of them as the most important step towards increasing the value of their home.
